Condolence: My heart goes out to my Aunt Ginny for her loss of my most favorite Uncle John. He was the most exciting person to me as a young man. As a boy he took me to the air in both airplanes, motorcycles and sailing. I know my Dad, (his brother) will greet him in his new home.

Condolence: Our heartfelt condolences to Aunt Ginny and Karen and Barbara and their families. Uncle John was an inspiration and most interesting man who loved the Lord, his family and living life to the fullest. We always enjoyed the yearly Christmas letters and were so impressed by John and Ginny's zest for life and for engaging in so many outdoor activities, even as the years wore on. We know he is rejoicing in Heaven with our Savior Jesus and getting reacquainted with loved ones already there.

Condolence: Proud to have him as my Dad. He was grateful to serve his country. A WWII Veteran. Began the first neighborhood 4th of July Parade for Lake Of The Woods and anyone wishing to participate. He loved snow skiing, sailing, enjoying life! He was especially fond of flying, hiking with friends, and believed your word was a measure of a person's truth. In recent years he was moved by the book of Luke in the Bible. As kids we were able to see national parks, get a plane ride to Andros Island for a snorkel adventure and had a memorable raft trip down the rivers in Colorado. Where the practical joke side was often seen.He will be greatly missed.

John was a wonderful man in every sense of the word--loving Christian husband, father and grandfather, a true American hero in World War Two, respected community leader, and for us a terrific friend and neighbor. John and Virginia were immediately missed when they relocated from Lake of the Woods to take up residence in smaller living quarters. The neighborhood legacy they left behind will be forever remembered with fond appreciation, and John's friendship will never be forgotten. Godspeed, John.
