Dorothy W. Freeman, 99, passed away peacefully on June 28 in her sleep at her son’s home in Orlando Florida.
Dorothy was born and raised in Westerville, attended Westerville schools and graduated in 1938. In 1941, Dorothy started working at the Kilgore Manufacturing Company in Westerville in the accounting department where she met Kenneth E. Freeman and were married, May 8, 1943. In 1947, Dorothy decided to quit her job after giving birth to a daughter, Judy and a growing family of two more sons, Gary and Ronald. In 1962, Dorothy started working at Otterbein College in the cafeteria and campus library for thirty years until retirement in 1992. In 2012, her son, Gary and Prisca, went to Ohio to move her to their home in Orlando, Florida and became her caregivers until her passing.
Survived by her two sons Gary and Ronald, Son-in-law John Lesosky, Sr., 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Freeman and her daughter, Judith L. Lesosky.
Family will receive friends 10 to 11 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Hill Funeral Home followed by services at 11 AM Wednesday. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
