Obituary for Betsy Gerbec

Elizabeth Ann Gerbec (Betsy), passed away on April 19th, 2020, at the age of 78.

Betsy hailed from McKeesport Pa, the daughter of Jean and Dudley Woods. After high school, Betsy moved to Westerville, Ohio to attended Otterbein College to study, where she met the love of her life, her husband Bob Gerbec. Bob and Betsy were married on October 10th, 1964. During her work career, she spent 40 plus years, as a tax professional with H&R Block where she even-tually retired from. Betsy like to spend her time: crocheting, shopping, reading, drinking wine with friends, watching football (avid Steeler fan!) and trying to stay up on the latest technology.

She was affectionately referred to as, “Techno Granny”. She is survived by son Robert Marc Gerbec (Green Bay, WI.) and his wife, Sue.. Grandson, Corporal Robert Dominic Gerbec (USMC), his wife Corporal Wendy Rangel Gerbec (USMC), great grand daughter Isabella and granddaughter Private First Class Sophia Joan Gerbec (USMC). Son Ian Scot Gerbec (Westerville, OH.) and his wife Ann. Betsy is further survived by sister-in-law, Susan Gerbec, nieces, nephews, many friends, including Karen Fox and unofficial adopted daughters, Valerie Pulliam and Leslie Butler. Betsy is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Margaret and Rudy Gerbec, husband Robert E. Ger-bec (Bob), aunt Harriet (Hab), brother-in-law Richard and sister-in-law Shirley.

No services are planned at this time. There will be a remembrance gathering, at later date.
