Condolences

Condolence From: Tom and Char Schultz, Westerville, Ohio
Condolence: Both Tom and I send our love to you, Betty, and the family. We are so grateful to have known and loved Jim. We have special memories stored in our hearts that will remain forever. His walk with the Lord was humble and profound and so sincere. His love for music - great piano playing - and his love for God’s Word were treasures. We are so very sad but know he is in the presence of His Loving God. Much love and prayer, Tom and Char

Condolence From: Tim Benjamin, St Marys, OH
Condolence: I have a Bible from James that I found cleaning out a dormitory at Ohio Northern University 25 years ago. I found it after a session of the School of Christian Mission held at ONU back in the mid 90s. I have always wanted to return it to him but I could never find him. I held on to it in hope that someday our paths would cross. When this name came across the Conference prayer chain, I immediately recognized it as the name from this Bible. I would very much like to make arrangements to return it to the Recob family. If any of you see this, please email me. If anyone who reads this can get word to the family, I would very much love to connect with them. I have been watching for this for 25 years.

Condolence From: Peg & Paul Stuckey, Centerville, Ohio
Condolence: Betty, Jane and family,

We just heard of Jim’s death! He was indeed a gentleman and a scholar. However, he was so much more. Jim personified love, authenticity, humility and so much more. We considered it to be a special privilege to be his and your pastor and friends. Betty, you and Jim were and are the best. Please know of our love and our prayers as you say your fondest farewells to this gentle giant of a man - a true Christian in the best sense of that word. Love you and him! God’s going to take good care of Jim until you , too, experience that life beyond this life that God graciously gives all God’s people.
