Obituary for Ashton Tyler Carley Trent

Ashton Tyler Carley Trent 2009-2014

Ashton Tyler Carley Trent

02/28/2009 - 11/11/2014

After many months of heroic struggle, Ashton Tyler Carley Trent passed away due to complications from leukemia. He was five years old. Ashton was a fierce and feisty little boy who always knew exactly what he wanted. Even in the hospital, he never hesitated to tell his doctors, "Go away, I'm twying to sweep!" He loved the Denver Broncos and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His boundless energy made him an outstanding athlete, and he would beg to play soccer with much bigger boys. He was fearless. He died peacefully, held by his mother, Erin Carley. He truly believed that he would be with his late father, Scott Trent, on the moon. He is also survived by siblings Lily, Blaise, and Nate; grandparents Penny and Mitch Gilliam and Linda Trent and Russell Canterbury; uncles Eric and Ryan, Auntie Jen, and cousin Micah; and an amazing community of thousands who supported him, prayed for him, and showered him with love. Services will be held at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, OH 43081, on Saturday at 9:30. Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati or Cincinnati Children's Hospital, with deep gratitude for their support of Ashton and his family.
