Obituary for Roy Lee McClary

Roy Lee McClary, 78, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Monday May 6th.

Roy was born on September 12th, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio and lived in Westerville, Ohio until he moved to Fort Myers in 1997.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Cinda and by his father Loren, his mother Frances, brothers Art, Larry, Ed and sister Betty.

Roy is survived by his loving companion Tina Millette, his children Bruce (Jennifer), Brian (Jennifer) and grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Nicholas and Alex, his brother Chuck (Carol), sisters Donna (Ray) Spillman, Diann (Phil) Breece, sister in law Linda Aisel and numerous loving relatives and extended family.

Roy worked as a contractor for many years in Ohio before relocating to Fort Myers Florida where he worked for the Fewster Organization. There he supervised the maintenance of ten restaurant locations. Roy was always willing to help his community. He was instrumental in starting the Harlem Township Volunteer Fire Department in Ohio and volunteering in numerous charitable events. Roy was always willing to help his friends with whatever they needed and he could fix almost anything. You could always find him helping someone. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Visiting hours will be held at Hill Funeral Home at 220 S. State Street, Westerville on Friday May 17th from 10:00-11:30am. A funeral service will take place at 11:30am immediately after visitation. Interment will be at the Fancher Road Cemetary after the funeral.

A Celebration of Roy’s life will take place on Friday May 24th at the Jamaica Bay Clubhouse in the Veranda Room located at 15235 S. Tamiami Trail. Fort Myers, FL 33908 from 5:00-8:00pm.
