Obituary for Omar Leo Deel

Omar Leo Deel, 86 of Westerville went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 30, 2018.

He served in the navy and attended Northwestern University. He retired from Battelle after working there for over 45 years as a research scientist and is a published author of works on aerospace engineering structural data

Omar was an avid reader, a soft spoken, selfless man with a wicked sense of humor. He always put his family first.

He is preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean. Survived by his children, Gary (Joanne) Worster, Cheryl (Geoffrey) Caito, Michael Deel (Chuck Luttrell) Timothy (Wendy) Deel and Steve Deel; grandchildren Brandee, Joshua, Kelly and Jake; great grandchildren Ashlynne, Julia and Jacob

Keeping with his wishes there will be a private family service and interment.
