Arrangements

The family will begin receiving friends for a Celebation of Life on Saturday, August 11 beginning at 2 p.m., at Hill Funeral Home.  Special words and music will begin at 2:30.

So sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a special lady. I knew her from school and then later my husband and I took care of her snow and grass at her home on Main in Clear Lake. She was always so kind and friendly. Thinking of all of you.

Huldina (Dina) Nailor, aged 92, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2018 in Westerville, Ohio. She is survived by her four sons, Layne (OH), Douglas (FL), Reed (FL), and Scott (CO), her sisters Dorothy Passer (MN) and Henrita Smitherman (MN), 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  Huldina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, her daughter Sheila, her two brothers, Alvin and George, and great-grandson Robert Hoadley. 

Huldina grew up on a farm in Kiester, Minnesota and was busy with theater, chorus, and band in school. After high school she received her teaching certificate from Mankato State Teachers College and began her elementary education career. Huldina taught school in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa before retiring in 1977.  

Huldina married Robert Gray and they had 5 children.  They lost their daughter Sheila in 1973 and later divorced.  Huldina married Ralph Nailor and they enjoyed many years together in Clear Lake IA.  After Ralph's death, Huldina kept active volunteering at hospice and being a DJ at KCMR radio in Mason City, IA.  She surprised many with a skydiving tandem jump in 2001 at the age of 75.  

Huldina moved to Ohio in 2011 to be closer to family. Westerville became her home. Huldina had a full and active life.  In addition to raising her family and her teaching career, Huldina enjoyed sewing, needle point, gardening, cooking, and reading.  She enjoyed a good chat and was always ready to help someone in need.  She will be remembeed for her kindness and gratitude toward others.
