I deactivated my Facebook in January and life got busier than I could keep up with. Something led me to her last message to me in Messenger yesterday so I began to respond back. I decided instead to go to YouTube and watch her videos. That’s when I read about the accident that occurred that took my long time friend!! Dawn was a friend of over forty years to myself and my siblings Chris and Rob. Soooooo many memories in elementary and middle high with Dawn bring a smile to my face and happiness in my soul. All of Dawn’s and my talks about music and bands we loved especially Duran Duran! Through the years she and I spoke several times about silly memories, loving memories, and our husbands (I always considered Matt her husband and saw how wonderful he was to her), and how fast my children had grown up!! From Myers elementary to Tuslaw Junior High, to Tuslaw High School, there are so many wonderful memories we shared with one another!! My first year in Arizona (85) was filled with many calls to Dawn crying about how much I missed her and Ohio. Each call ended with, “no distance can ever break our friendship and you’re gonna be OK G. Just remember I love you.” Well Dawn, while you may be gone from this Earth, not even death can end our friendship or the love we shared as buddies for all of these years. Until we meet again someday, I love you and I’ll see you again. Keep flying with the angels!!

Obituary for Dawn Dunlap

Dawn Dunlap 1968-2018

Dawn Dunlap

05/12/1968 - 06/09/2018

Dawn Maria Dunlap passed away on June 9, 2018 at age 50. This was due to an auto accident while she was crossing the street with her significant other. Dawn had no children but leaves behind her partner Matt, aunt Rebecca, brother Ray and parents Pam and Tom.

Dawn was physically disabled with a genetic bone disease and confined to a wheelchair. However, this did not prevent her from obtaining an associate degree in graphic arts, champion medical marijuana, participate in many forums on physical disabilities, be an adventurous photographer, and create digital works of art and custom jewelery.

She was a women of strong faith with a strong association to two different churches. Both churches have lifted her up in their congregations for her strong faith. All of us know she is in the hands of God and will be reunited with her at a later date. She brought untold joy into the lives of many.

Dawn was very active on social media including Face Book and You Tube. In fact we are sure some of her funny videos can still be found on You Tube.

If you are curious search for "Dawn Dunlap" and "Edna". If you are so inclined, please donate to the WorldGiraffeFoundation.org in lieu of sending flowers. This was Dawn's favorite charity.

She is loved and missed, leaving a large hole in the lives of family and friends.
