Obituary for Alan Heiligmann

Alan (Al) Kent Heiligmann, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 4, 2018 at the Glenn at Parkside in Westerville, Ohio while surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Donna Heiligmann and survived by wife of 48 years, Wendy (Young), daughter Lisa Wheeler (Jason), son Kurt (Melinda) and grandchildren Nicholas Vermaaten, Samuel Heiligmann, Katrianna and Mariela Wheeler, Jamison, Elliot and Lucas Heiligmann, brother Randall and his wife Lynn, and many nieces and nephews.. Al sold trucks for over 35 years. His great loves included his children and grandchildren, muscle cars, especially Corvettes, model trains and spending time at the beach. Celebration of his life will take place from 1 to 3 PM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, OH. The family is requesting donations made to further Parkinson’s research to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (https://www.michaeljfox.org/get-involved/donation2.php?pg=38) in lieu of flowers.
