Arrangements

A Celebration of Melody's life will be announced shortly on this website.
I am sad that I have to write this type of memorial, but I am happy and so very grateful that I had the privilege to know and work with Mel. Always such a warm greeting and a beautiful smile, one of the very few people I hugged on sight. My heart goes out to all of her family along with my prayers. Mel was a rare person in being always genuine and I loved talking to her. May God Bless you and Keep you and keep his light shining upon you.

Melody was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 9, 1956. She graduated from Alexander High School and continued on to beauty school to get her cosmetology license. Melody was married to Bruce Catron on September 8, 1980; they were married 37 years. Melody worked for Jessie’s Beauty Salon in Westerville and later for JP Morgan Chase for 30 years. She enjoyed camping and four wheeling, singing, and spending time with her family. Melody had a great love for music. She sang with a gospel quintet, The Youth Evangelettes, as a teenager, and enjoyed traveling with her husband to see her favorite singer, Connie Smith.
