Condolences
Condolence From: B Frost, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Condolence: This is quite belated but I wanted Ann's family to know that her art inspires students still. I bought a framed cutting of hers (Scherenschnitte) several years ago in Indianapolis and have it hanging in my Montessori classroom. Each year we bring it down to try our hand at snowflake design and other paper cuts. This year one of my students connected with the lesson and shared papel picados that she made in Mexico.
The students made her Christmas cards but when I went to address the envelope (her information was on the back of the frame), I wondered if she'd moved or ... So, I'm posting this to let you know she lives on in a beautiful way.

Condolence From: Sharon Richwine, Columbus, Ohio
Condolence: I did art shows with Ann for many years. We even shared a house in Cambridge a couple times after Ann asked the owner to let me stay there too. Ann's creations I found remarkable. As a fellow artist, there is no way I could cut those precise, detailed silhouettes of the children while they squirmed to get away... And I own several of Stu's frames that he "needed" to make to go along with Ann's finished pieces. ANN & STU were a loving, remarkable couple and I am sorry that we did not see each other much in our later years. I will miss them both forever.
