Douglas E. Losey, 65, died July 31, 2017 with his family by his side at his home in Westerville, Ohio. He was born August 25, 1951 while his father was stationed in Fort Belvior, VA to Ralph and Shirley Losey. He grew up in Stony Ridge, Ohio with his younger siblings Dave, Marcia, Dick and Dan. Doug spent his early years living on his grandparent's farm and he had fond memories of working and playing with his family. He was a captain of the football team at Eastwood High School and graduated in 1969. After graduation he moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend Capital University and he also attended The Ohio State University.  He worked for 39 years as a trackman on the railroad for Conrail and CSX Transportation. He was known as a very hard worker and one of the nicest guy on the railroad. He also served as Treasurer of his local union. Doug greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved watching Ohio State football and playing euchre. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing, camping and canoeing. In his later years, he enjoyed going to estate sales. He is survived by his wife, Patty; children, Shane (Gisela) Watkinson, Shelley (Ogi) Karabatkovic, Amanda Watkinson, and Kristen (Chris) D'Andrea; grandchildren, Marley, Chloe, Manny, Addison, Oliver and Cora; siblings, Dave Losey, Marcia (Bill) Lafferty and Dick (Mary) Losey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Shirley Losey; and brother, Dan Losey.
