Obituary for Eugene "Gene" Moor

Eugene “Gene” Garner Moor, 91 of Westerville passed away at home and into the arms of Christ, Sunday, July 15, 2017 after a 14 year battle with multiple myeloma and bladder cancer. Gene was born December 22, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI to the Rev. Otto and Clara Ingibrand Moor. He graduated from O.S.U. College of Dentistry in 1950 and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi and Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. He established his first dental practice with his brothers Bob and Ted which is now operated by Gene’s son Matt. An avid Ohio State sports fan, he also spent many years coaching his children’s sports teams. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Etta Kuhn Moor; children, Susan Finzer-Moor, Matt (Gwen), John (Kista) and Mark (Stacey) Moor; grandchildren, Nicholas, Erica, Danielle, Jay, Jordan, Jennifer and Jackson. Friends may call Friday July 21, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S, State St., Westerville. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville. Gene remained at his home throughout his illness under the loving care of his wife, sons Matthew and Mark, and granddaughter Erica.
