“Pete” Colyer was a 94 year old member of the Greatest Generation. Growing up in Kentucky during the Depression, Pete believed in working hard an living a simple life. He served in the Army Air Corps (Air Force) as a bomber pilot , flying in B-24 Liberator in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He and his wife Helen, enjoyed more than 65 years of marriage and built a family foundation that yielded three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pete is survived by his wife Helen: son, Alan (Renee), daughters Barbara (Dale) Lythjohan and Susan; sister, Nina Simmons and brother Gilbert, as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Pete followed his military service with aa long career as an Air Traffic Specialist for the FAA. A modest man, his passions were his wife, his family, and golf.
