A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at Bacher Funeral home 3250 Greenwich Rd. Norton, Ohio 44203. The memorial from 10-11:30 with a brief celebration at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any material contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.

Mary Louise VanPelt Tokash, age 68 of Westerville, Ohio. Mary passed away at her home surrounded by her family. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, daughter and sister. She was born July 12th 1948 in Akron, Ohio. She spent her early years at Chippewa Lake, Ohio. where she graduated from Cloverleaf High School. She raised her family in Boardman, Ohio and later relocated to Westerville. Mary was preceded in death by parents Hilda and Frank VanPelt and brother Buzz VanPelt. She is survived by her brother Richard DomDera ( Jean), twin brother Fred VanPelt (Meredith) and Sister-in-law Jane VanPelt. Mary is also survived by her sons Jon (Jennifer), Thad ( MaryKay), Adam ( Kristina). Mary dearly loved her seven grandchildren Gabby and Spencer, Lindsey, Liam, Jacob, Sean, and Josh. Mary adored her extended family including many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you for the wonderful care she received from Visiting Angels and Hospice. Mary loved her family above all else. She will be remembered for her beauty inside and out, and for her great sense of humor that always enriched any gathering.
