Obituary for Gene Alvin Pierce

Gene Alvin Pierce, 85 was born May 27, 1931 in Union Furnace, Ohio to Leroy and Goldie Pierce. He passed away on Monday, August 22 after a brief stay at Heartland of Uptown Westerville Nursing Home in Ohio. Gene was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and he had a lengthy career as a Columbus Firefighter Captain. Gene was preceded in death by his father Leroy, mother Goldie, brother Roland and sister Dorothy Sparks. He is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Lisa (Randy) Cain and Jeri (Larry) Edwards, son Jeffrey Pierce and grandchildren Tara (Kevin) Haley, Aaron Cain, Alison Edwards and Caroline Edwards, great granddaughter Aileen Haley, and his sister Billie (Jim) Fulton. No service will be held. In lieu of flowers or cards please take this time to hug and say “I love you” to your families and friends.
