Obituary for Jane Colleen Hamman

Jane Colleen (Luckham, Beard) Hamman, 'Nana', age 84, died suddenly over the weekend, in her home in Westerville, Ohio. She was born March 4, 1931 in Washington D.C. and was an Ohio resident for over 60 years. Nana will be greatly missed by her friends and by her loving family. She is survived by three children, Michael Beard, (Laurel Beard) Westerville, Paul Beard (Susan Beard), Ontario, OH, and Colleen (Beard) Hamons, Westerville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Emily Beard, Brooklyn NY, Alex Beard, Richwood OH, Julia (Beard) McClure, Westerville, Hallie (Beard) Gibson, Ontario OH, Andrew Beard, Columbus, Chelsea (Hamons) Nichols, Westerville, and Connor Hamons, Westerville, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by sisters Janet, Pat, Ida, Judy and brother Burt as well as many friends, nieces, and nephews. Jane worked at RR Donnelly's, Willard Ohio as a proofreader. She was a member of Heart of Ohio Tole Painting and had won many first-place awards at the Ohio State Fair. She loved her family, friends, reading, and painting. She collected antiques and had a large collection of Christmas Santas. She enjoyed flowers, making dolls and baskets, and trips to the beach.She was preceded in death by mother Agnes Lillian Treynor, VA, sister Dorothy ‘Dottie’ (Luckham) Nowasczeski, MI, and husband Robert Hamman, Shiloh OH.Calling hours 10:00 Thursday, service begins at 11:00.
