Obituary for Emily M Sunderland

Emily Sunderland, 89, of Westerville, Ohio passed away peacefully in hospice care on Dec. 7th, 2015, surrounded by family members. Emily was born in Viersen, Germany on June 7, 1926 to a close knit family, the 6th of 8 children. She met her American husband, Milton Sunderland, after the war. They married and traveled the world as an Air Force family with their three children. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Milton and daughter-in-law Robin Sunderland. She is survived by her sister, Helene Pada; brother, Heinz Rabeneck; son, William Sunderland; daughters Linda (Frank) Marshall and Susan (Dale) Lehmann; grandchildren Nicole Marshall Whigham, Stephanie Sunderland, Aidan Blevins, & Claire Blevins. Emily will be buried alongside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11th at 5 PM at HILL FUNERAL HOME in Westerville.
