Condolence: Many years have passed that we shared work and fun together to ultimately end with the last journey for Bob to be close to GOD. I will miss his sense of humor kind heart and compassion toward those who experienced his presence. My sympathy is directed to his wife and family to have strength by knowing he loved you and is now in the kingdom of heaven.

I HAD TO HONOR TO HAVE MR MILLS AS A MOBILITY TEACHER
WHILE ATTENDING OSSB FROM 1974-1987. NEVER WILL I FORGET HIM TAKING ME TO DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS AT ABOUT THE AGE OF 10 AND HE SAID "NOW FIND YOUR WAY BACK" MIND YOU HE HAD GIVEN ME MAPS OF DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS AND HIGH ST AND MANY MONTHS OF TEACHING. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR AND MANY TEARS I FOUND MY WAY BACK. I WILL ALWAYS BE THANKFUL TO HIM FOR TEACHING ME INDEPENDENCE IN ALWAYS FINDING MY WAY IN WHEREVER LIFE MAY TAKE ME. HE WASN'T JUST A MOBILITY TEACHER HE WAS MUCH MUCH MORE.

Condolence: No one understood the mission of the Ohio State School for the Blind or delivered services with passion toward that mission more than Rob Mills. He wrote summer program grants to bring extra services to children that were not otherwise available to them.He was always considerate of other staff and had a great sense of humor as he greeted everyone.
He was a great professional in his field and he will be missed as a great man in the history of the school.
