Obituary for Hubert Wendell Overman

Hubert Wendell Overman, age 73, of Sunbury, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 7, 1942, in Douglas, Ga. He graduated from Coffee Co. High School in 1959 and served in the US Navy. He spent most of his career in the automotive industry. After retiring, he became an avid golfer. He was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Ruby Overman, and wife, Diane Carter Overman. He is survived by his three children: Brenda (Don) Cordle, of Westerville, OH, daughter of Diane Overman; Shannon Overman Wilson of Bexley, OH and Tim Overman, of Chicago, IL, children of Deborah Overman Plante; grandchildren: Madison Cordle, Megan Cordle, and Kamryn Overman. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 3, 4-6 p.m. at Brookstone Clubhouse, 1295 Cobblestone Drive, Westerville, OH 43081. The memorial service will be private.
