Obituary for Nancy Rothe Fraker

Nancy Rothe Fraker 1960-2022

Nancy Rothe Fraker

03/09/1960 - 03/09/2022

Nancy Rothe Fraker, passed away on her 62nd birthday on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on March 9, 1960 in Lima, Ohio to the late Mary Ann Rothe-Schulte and John Rothe. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Rothe. Nancy is survived by her children, Bryan Fraker and Kathryn (Kurt) Kindig; sisters, Christine (Joe) Rothe and Gretchen (Pete) Brown; best friend, Leigh Ann (Joe) Burchwell; ex-husband, Andrew (Julie) Fraker; many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends; and grand-dog, Tobi.

Nancy always knew how to bring fun wherever she went whether it was overseas in France as an exchange student or at her favorite local pub, Wendell’s. This made her an excellent hostess for frequent game nights, family dinners, and patio hang outs. You would never go hungry in the house of Nancy with her endless array of delicious dips and appetizers.

Nancy got her degree in Political Science at The Ohio State University, which came with an avid love for the Buckeyes. Every time they score a touchdown, it is a Nancy tradition to take a buckeye shot that consists of XO Café tequila and Baileys.

Nancy was a strong willed, confident, and intelligent person. She was the type of person who always knew what to do or what to say in any situation that came her way. She was also a very loyal and reliable friend seeing as a lot of her friendships span over 20+ years. She had a fierce fighting spirit that never faltered and kept her laughing even in her final weeks. The world lost a truly kind and caring soul. She will live forever in our hearts and memories.
