Barb was a special person. I really enjoyed working with her when she was the Josephinum assisting Harold McSwain. We worked well together also at the Capitol Area North District Office.

Stachowiak (LaBosky) Barbara Ann, age 88 of Westerville, OH passed away Jan. 31, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, OH.

Barbara was born August 3, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to parents John and Anna (Nemergut) LaBosky. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Robert (Bob) LaBosky and John (Jack) LaBosky and ex-husband Thomas Edwin Stachowiak.

In 1951, Barbara graduated from Sacred Heart High School Flint, Michigan. After graduation she was employed by Motors Insurance Company, an affiliate of General Motors Corporation, as a claims clerk, examiner and secretary until 1960. After moving to Ohio she was a member of various Women’s Clubs and volunteered at the School for the Blind and Children’s Hospital. She was also a member of St. Anthony Church Columbus, Ohio and St. Paul the Apostle Church Westerville, Ohio.

From 1979- 2011 she worked as an administrative assistant for the Center for Town and Rural Ministries, Columbus North District and Capitol Area North all affiliated with West Ohio Conference United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Barbara enjoyed reading, gardening and vacationing with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Surviving are daughters: Lisa (Mark) Morgan Westerville, OH Karen (Philip) Bunnell Corona, CA, granddaughters: Ashley Morgan Westerville, OH and Katelin Morgan Boston, MA.

The family would like to thank the staff at: Feridean Commons Senior Living, Johnstown Pointe, Dublin Methodist Hospital, Licking Memorial Hospital and special friends: the Baldridges, the Mincers and the O’Gradys.
