It was a wonderful and exciting experience when Joyce came to my group at ARC. She was so so sassy and had such an exuberant personality that affected all of those around her. She loved being the center of attention and would hold the attention of everyone around when she spoke at the Christmas party on a microphone in front of her peers and strangers, when on the microphone during educational activities and so many other times during our time together. (She loved microphones!)
I loved being around her because when she liked a person, she would be so loving and affectionate and fortunately, I was one of those people.
I will always think of Joycee, as I called her and keep a place in my heart for her. Mary Brooks, Training Specialist at ARC North.

Obituary for Jocelyn Pollack

Jocelyn Pollack 1961-2021

Jocelyn Pollack

09/17/1961 - 11/06/2021

Jocelyn (Joyce) Pollack, 60, from Westerville, Ohio, was reunited on November 6, 2021, with her loving mother, Agnes Pollack, and father, Frank Pollack.

Joyce lived a long and happy life with many friends and never met a person she didn’t like. She was kind and caring, always had a smile on her face and was always ready to give a hug to anyone. She was incapable of disliking anyone. Her innocence, her humor, her love of all things Elvis, her dislike of dogs, and her devotion to her family will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sister Kathy (David) Cocuzzi, brothers Frank (Flo) Pollack, and Bob (Leslie) Pollick; nieces and nephews Matt (Kim) Cocuzzi, Lizz Cocuzzi, Joanna (Colin) Studebaker, Carrie Pollick, Frank (Wendy) Pollack, Andrea (Paul) Schultz, Michelle Havens; great nieces and nephews Dominic Cocuzzi, Sophia Cocuzzi, Oliver Studebaker, Milo Studebaker, Frank Pollack, Carter Pollack, Wilson Pollack, Kayla Schultz, Nicole Schultz and Shelby Guertz.

Preceded in death by mom, Agnes, and dad, Frank, and nephew, Bobby Pollick.

She will be missed by her friends at church, her caring staff especially Sheila Hitchcock and Lisa Morgan, roommate Kathy and many others.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Downs Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, 510 E. N. Broadway, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
