Condolence From: Mary Pat and Douglas Knight, Westerville, Ohio
Condolence: Mary Bivins was one of those rare and special people who made everyone feel welcome and gave every gathering a hoot of joy! . Her laugh was infectious and her kindness appreciated. What a gift she had and we all were happier when she was part of the group. We remember her quips when traveling with her on the Cardinal Migrations. And we MUST acknowledge her faithful sidekick, Vanessa, who was remarkable in her devotion and care of her Mother, and ramped up the humor of the 'Dynamic Duo'. Vanessa made it possible for Mary to travel and attend the Otterbein events! Remember the birthday party for Mary with the Elvis impersonator??? What a pair they were! We will miss Miz Mary and cherish the memories she gave us.

Condolence: As a child, I lived next door to Mary and her family in Raytown, MO for about 10/11 years. She and my mom were dear friends. Mary was always smiling and she had 4 wonderful children. I was also lucky/blessed to be shown around NYC by her son Craig 2 different times. She will be missed.

Condolence From: Sonya and Bill Evans, Dublin,, OH
Condolence: We were saddened to read about Mary's death in this morning's Dispatch. You were a wonderful daughter, Vanessa, and we share many wonderful memories with you and your "always happpy" mom at many Otterbein Homecoming celebrations among other events. Bill especially remembers when she attended the Otterbein football game with Heidelberg in Germany. She said she was sooo cold so Bill told her he could get her something that would "warm you up"! She took one sip and said, "Oooooo, that's so good and it makes me warm all over!"
God Bless you Vanessa, and your family,
Sonya and Bill
