Mary Elizabeth Wollam, 82, of Galena, Ohio passed away at home with her loving husband of 60 years at her side on July 13, 2021.

Mary was born on November 20, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Francis Joseph and Ann Marie Schill. She received her RN from St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She married James L. Wollam in August 1960, and had five children. After staying home raising her children, she resumed her nursing career. She held a variety of positions, moving into management at St. Ann's Hospital for the latter part of her career. She retired from St. Ann's as a Center Leader in 1997.

After retirement, Mary became a prize-winning quilter, completing many beautiful quilts that are cherished by her family. She enjoyed vacationing with her growing family as grandchildren came along. She loved cooking and entertaining the entire family at holidays.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, brothers James Schill, Jack Schill, and Jerry Schill, sisters Pat Bogner, Rose Wald, and Peggy Schill, son-in-law Tom Zamzow, and daughter-in-law Sharon Wollam.

She is survived by her husband, James, her children Kathleen Zamzow of Galena, Timothy of New Albany, Christopher (Nancy) of Westerville , Patrick (Rebecca) of Louisville,  KY, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) of New Albany, IN, along with grandchildren David, Michael, Matthew, Seb, Jacob (Kourtney), Sarah (Devin), Elayna, Hannah, and Benjamin.
