I am so sorry for the tragic loss of your mother. I know you are devastated. Your family and mine were so very lucky to have such one of a kind mothers. Your mother was so kind to us after mom died. Meeting us for lunch when we would come to Ohio for the marathon.
One of my only childhood memories is when i got to play with Connie's toy horses. The day your mom let me take one home to keep, was like Christmas!

Obituary for Ne-Ne Beachler

Ne-Ne Beachler 1931-2021

Ne-Ne Beachler

08/08/1931 - 05/06/2021

On Thursday, May 6, 2021, Lois (Ne-Ne) Beachler, beloved by many family and friends near and far, passed away suddenly at the age of 89.

Ne-Ne was born August 8, 1931 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to Herbert and Evelyn Beheler. She grew up on the family farm in Fredericktown, Ohio, along with her sister Donna (predeceased) and brother Jerry. While attending Otterbein College, Ne-Ne met and later married fellow classmate George Beachler. They resided in Westerville for 18 years and together reared three children. Beginning in 1973, Ne-Ne served as personal secretary to the Reverend Dick Ellsworth of Central College Presbyterian Church, where she worked for 26 years. She knew virtually everyone at the church and, it seems, in Westerville, and made and nurtured numerous lasting friendships over the decades. She was known for her cheerful and outgoing personality, her ready smile and infectious laugh and her eagerness to engage in conversation with every soul she encountered. Growing up, Ne-Ne learned to play piano ‘by ear’ and, in her adulthood, enjoyed entertaining others at church and social gatherings. She was an original member of Westerville’s Song Spinners vocal group as well as an avid fan and patron of Otterbein’s musicals, plays and concerts. Finally, Ne-Ne was known for her love of colorful clothes, shoes and accessories. She was a talented bargain hunter and her closets overflowed with her many great finds.

Ne-Ne was preceded in death by her parents and sister. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Beheler (wife Sharon), daughter Connie (partner Pat), son Jeff (wife Lois) and son Jud (wife Deborah Hinkle), as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a proud and attentive grandma to Jill Stuart (John), Evan Beachler, Maxie Sprayberry (Austin), Kate Beachler, Anne Beachler and Drake Hinkle (Reese). She was a sweet and playful great grandma to Molly, Henry, Jaden and Rey. She loved her family fiercely and devotedly and our love and many memories of her will live in our minds and hearts forever.
